INSURANCE
AND CONDITIONS OF HIRE for your holiday
1.
The
hiring will be between the Holidaymaker (the Hirer) and the owner of the
property (the Owner) for which the booking is made. A booking Agent may be
instructed on behalf of the owner. The booking will be made subject to these
conditions of hire and a legally binding Contract will be entered into
between the Hirer and the Owner or Owners Agent (if instructed).
2.
Booking A deposit of 30% of the holiday rental, the cost of any chargeable
extras and the booking fee is payable on the booking. The balance of the
cost of the holiday rental is due 56 days before the start of the holiday.
For bookings made less than 56 days before the start of the holiday full
payment is due on booking. Provisional bookings are held for five workings
days only and confirmed on receipt of a signed booking form and payment of
the deposit or full rental due. 2.5% surcharge is made on payments by credit
cards. No charge for debit cards.
3.
Cancellation For circumstances covered by the Insurance Plan all monies
will be refunded less the Cancellation Insurance Premium. Should the
Cancellation be for reasons not covered by the Insurance Plan and we are
unable to re-let the booking, the booking is forfeit and any balance owing
is still payable on the due date. If you cancel a booking for which you have
contracted, we will do all we can to re-let the property. If successful, we
will refund any payment made by you less the booking fee, the administration
charge of £25.00 plus VAT and the insurance premium fees.
4.
Liability The owner has taken care to ensure that the property and its
contents are safe and in good order. The accommodation owners cannot accept
liability for any damage, expense, injury, death or loss of any nature
whatsoever other than that caused by the negligence of the owner or their
employees (whilst acting in the course of their employment) or agents.
5.
Arrivals and Departures In order that the properties can be properly
inspected between guest the properties will be available at 4 p.m. on
the day of arrival please check your arrival sheet for the correct time all
properties should be vacated by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure, unless
otherwise agreed by the owner and the agency.
6.
Occupancy The number of persons occupying the property may not exceed the
maximum number stated. The owner has the right to refuse entry to a party
larger than the agreed number. We reserve the right to refuse or curtail a
booking where it transpires that information has been withheld from us, such
as, numbers in the party, composition or intended use of the property.
7.
Breakages The hirer must take care of the property and its fixtures and
fittings and leave it clean and tidy and in the same condition as at the
start of the holiday. Any breakages or damage must be reported to the owner
or caretaker, who has the right to request payment to cover the cost of
repair or replacement.
8.
Pets Only one small pet is accepted at these properties as clearly
stated. Pets must be kept under control at all times and not left alone in
the property at any time. Pets are not permitted in any bedrooms or on any
furniture. At the end of the holiday all traces of the pet must be cleaned
from the house and terraces, especially Dog Pooh!
9.
Complaints The description of the properties and its facilities are made
in good faith. If you have a problem, or cause for complaint, please contact
the owner or caretaker immediately so that it can be remedied as soon as
possible. If you are not satisfied, contact the Owner. No such matters can
be dealt with after completion of your holiday.
10.
Access The property owner, his/her representative, or the Agent shall be
allowed access to the holiday accommodation at any reasonable time for
essential maintenance. Wherever possible this should be by prior
arrangement.
11.
Lost Property We regret that we cannot accept responsibility for any lost
property left behind at the end of your stay. Whilst we will make every
effort to return lost property this will only be done on receipt of full
payment for the registered post involved plus a £5 plus V.A.T. handling and
packing charge. Items not claimed after 28 days will be disposed of.
12.
Website Accuracy Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of
information given within this website, if a feature is of particular
importance the information should be confirmed prior to booking the
holiday.
CANCELLATION SCHEME for your holiday
CANCELLATION SCHEME
This is
compulsory and is included in the rental cost of your holiday cottage.
SUMMARY
OF COVER
Full
payment of deposit and/or final payment in the event of cancellation of your
holiday for any of the following reasons: death, accident, sickness,
compulsory quarantine, jury service, or witness summons on your self or any
person with whom you intend to travel, or death, accident or sickness of the
husband, wife, child, father, mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law or close
business associate of yourself or any person with whom you intend to travel,
your own home being rendered uninhabitable by fire, explosion, subsidence,
malicious damage, storm or flood; or Police requesting your presence at home
following a burglary or attempted burglary at home or your place of
business, cancellation of leave by HM Armed Forces or HM Police. Conditions
Precedent: That all the above-mentioned person are in good health physically
and mentally at the time of booking and have no pre-existing condition.
If you
have to cancel
a.
Before you travel: Please phone us immediately and confirm in writing to us
the same day. We will then send you a claim form which you need to send to
the Insurance Broker. A doctors certificate or other relevant document will
subsequently be required to support your claim.
b.
During your stay: Pleased contact us immediately and before you vacate the
property. In the event of your holiday being cut short for any of the above
reasons you will be reimbursed for the unused portion of your holiday
rental. This only applies if all members of your party vacate the property.
c.
Cancellation Please refer to Item 3.
Exceptions
a.
The
cancellation scheme does not cover any redundancy, illness, disease,
infirmity, or disability for which medical advice or treatment is being
received or awaited at the time of booking.
b.
The
cancellation scheme does not cover any direct or indirect consequence of an
act of war or terrorism, or any hostile act by a foreign organisation, civil
war or unrest, rebellion, revolution, riot or similar event.
Cancellation by ourselves.
Overseas
visitors must take out their own insurance cover.
